Optional globe participation

You can choose to add one light for your account to the SineDay globe. Participation is off by default. If you opt in, we save your selected country or territory and optional public city key, participation setting, consent version and time, and the record’s update time. We do not request GPS access or infer your globe location from IP address, timezone, locale, or private profiles.

Other signed-in dashboard members see approximate country or city lights derived from participating account counts and public map positions, without member names or account identifiers. A city choice is more specific than a country choice and requires updated consent. This is self-selected representation, not verified residency, guaranteed anonymity, or an indication that you are online. Family profiles and email-only subscriptions do not become globe members.

Use “Manage my light” below the globe to change your country or city, return to country-only precision, or remove your light. Removal deletes the participation record and updates your local globe immediately after confirmation. Other viewers’ cached snapshots refresh within five minutes while the globe is visible. Account deletion also deletes the participation record.

Information collected

SineDay collects account information, profile/birthdate information, timezone/settings information, planner notes, technical/device data needed to operate the service, and payment-related data processed through Stripe.

How information is used

SineDay uses this information to authenticate users, provide the dashboard and premium features, generate personalized SineDay outputs, process subscriptions, support customers, and improve service reliability.

Public Daily SineDay emails

You may request personalized Daily SineDay emails without creating an app account. We use the birthdate entered during signup only to calculate the derived rhythm values needed for personalization. The public mailer does not retain your full birthdate.

We retain the email address, chosen time zone, derived rhythm values, consent record, delivery preferences, and delivery or suppression evidence needed to provide and protect the service. Pending confirmation payloads expire after 24 hours. Abuse-prevention records use keyed hashes rather than raw IP addresses and are retained for a limited period.

Daily emails begin only after you use the explicit confirmation button. Every daily email includes an unsubscribe option, and provider bounce, complaint, or suppression signals stop further delivery.

Payment processors and service providers

Payments are processed by Stripe.

Authentication and data infrastructure may use Supabase.

Transactional email services may use Resend.

Affiliate Program information

When a member applies to the SineDay Affiliate Program, SineDay stores their account identifier, public display name, Affiliate Code, accepted terms version and time, internal program status, Stripe connected-account identifier, and non-sensitive setup and capability statuses.

When a member applies an Affiliate Code at Stripe Checkout, SineDay stores the Affiliate Code, attribution, and attribution time. SineDay also retains commission, adjustment, payout, invoice, refund, dispute, and transfer metadata needed to operate and audit the program.

Affiliates receive aggregate performance information such as supporter counts and earnings totals. They do not receive supporter names, email addresses, user identifiers, or individual journal information.

When a visitor follows an Affiliate link, SineDay may temporarily store the normalized code and capture time in that browser for up to 30 days so the code can be applied at Stripe Checkout if the visitor upgrades to Premium. The link does not silently create an attribution.

Affiliate payout and identity information

Stripe collects and handles an affiliate’s bank, identity, tax, payout, and available tax-document information through Stripe-hosted services. SineDay does not store an affiliate’s bank account number, Social Security number, tax identification number, identity-verification documents, or copies of tax forms.

Financial record retention

SineDay retains affiliate attribution and financial ledger records as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, and support. Refunds, disputes, and corrections are recorded as reversals or adjustments rather than deleting financial history.

Data sharing

We do not sell customer personal data.

Apart from the optional aggregate globe representation described above, we only share data with service providers necessary to operate SineDay or where required by law.
